Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi will face challenges in the position of the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and his future success will largely depend on the people he involves in his team.

This opinion was expressed by a senior lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign “Alex.”

According to him, Drapatyi is leading the Ukrainian army during a difficult period, both due to the situation at the front and due to the high level of social tension.

“In addition to the difficult situation in the army and at the front, the new C-in-C is taking office during a period of great social tension, or rather, its emergence from all cracks, so the public will assess Drapatyi’s actions with maximum attention, strictness, and criticality, constantly comparing him with the previous C-in-C, even where it will be highly inappropriate,” the military man noted.

He emphasized that the Commander-in-Chief will have to consider not only the military but also the socio-political aspects of his work.

“Such officials must understand that their role has not only military but also political significance, so completely disregarding the social component will not work, because this is how we got to where we are,” wrote “Alex.”

According to the senior lieutenant, any person needs time to adapt to a new position, but in Drapatyi’s case, there will be little time.

“Certainly, like any person taking up a new post, he needs time to ‘figure things out,’ but he will have little of it, as well as the right to make mistakes – that’s why I am also happy for Mr. Major General, but I also do not envy him at all,” he noted.

In conclusion, the military man added that he places his greatest hopes on the future team of the new Commander-in-Chief and the correct direction of its work.

“Therefore, for now, I am counting more on the composition of his team and the right vector of work. I hope for the best,” concluded “Alex.”

It was previously reported that 43-year-old Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi became the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We previously informed that Russian invaders would make significant efforts to maximally discredit the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi.
