Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova has clarified her controversial interview statements.
As is known, the star’s controversial reflections went viral recently. In particular, she raised the issue of a “concentration camp” in Ukraine, where “everyone will soon be afraid to stick their nose out,” and the problem of mobilization, where “any person can be kidnapped now, and no one will stand up for them.”
This divided Ukrainians into two camps. Some supported Olya and began predicting a political future for her, creating various content online, while others disagreed. In particular, many military personnel reminded that the word “concentration camp” should not have been used in the modern context.
Polyakova immediately made it clear that she does not intend to connect her life with politics. She emphasized that all these rumors are just the “sick fantasy” of others.

“No politics. I was enrolled in it without my consent. I find out about it myself from the Internet. No political projects. All these predictions are someone’s nonsense and sick fantasy. No parties. No politics. Period,” the singer emphasized on Instagram.
Additionally, the artist apologized to everyone who was offended by her comparison of Ukraine to a “concentration camp.” She stressed that she truly has no right to speak that way out of respect for those who experienced captivity during the full-scale war.
“Regarding my statement. Yes, that word is too strong for such comparisons. I shouldn’t have used it. Those who have been in captivity truly know what it means. And I don’t know, it’s true. It was harsh and unnecessary. I apologize for that. Thank you to everyone who understood me and supported me, I appreciate it. I am a singer, and I have my own work to do,” the star concluded.
We remind you that recently, actress Kateryna Kuznetsova defended Olya Polyakova. She publicly explained her position and why the issue of TCC problems raised by the singer personally affected her.
