Following Moscow’s latest threats, the British Prime Minister assured that Great Britain will not abandon its support for Ukraine and will remain alongside Kyiv.

The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Andy Burnham, stated that London will not withdraw its support for Ukraine, despite threats from Russia concerning aid to Kyiv.
This statement came after the Russian embassy in Great Britain accused London of facilitating Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian territory, according to Reuters.
In response, Burnham emphasized that Great Britain’s stance on Ukraine remains unwavering.
“Great Britain is doing what it has long promised – supporting Ukraine 100%. We provide support so that Ukraine can defend itself, and this has been Britain’s position throughout this conflict,” the prime minister declared.
He also stressed that London has no intention of deviating from this policy due to pressure from Moscow.
“We are not fair-weather friends. We will be there in Ukraine’s hour of need, and that will not change,” Burnham added.
What preceded this
On the night of August 18th, Moscow and the Moscow region experienced a massive drone attack. The Governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov, confirmed a strike on a Wildberries warehouse, which resulted in a fire.
Later, the BBC reported that Ukraine had used British drones for the first time to strike Russian territory.
Following these reports, Russia accused Great Britain of “deliberate incitement to escalation” through the supply of drones to Ukraine and threatened London with consequences.
The Russian embassy stated that Great Britain had allegedly become an “accomplice” in Ukrainian attacks and warned that “the greater the British support for Kyiv, the higher the price they will pay.”
