The Russian dictator sent another chilling signal to the West by conducting a test launch of a solid-fuel missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.

Against the backdrop of significant losses on the front lines and recent visits by Western officials, the Russian leadership has once again resorted to open nuclear blackmail. The Russian Ministry of Defense officially announced the successful completion of a training-combat launch of an intercontinental missile, which covered a distance of 6,700 kilometers.

According to the released data, the solid-fuel missile was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome and flew eastward towards the Kamchatka Peninsula, demonstrating an absolutely flawless trajectory. Although the Russian defense department did not specify the exact model of the weapon, journalists suggest it was the RS-24 Yars system, which the military had previously tested on the route from Plesetsk to the Kura training ground. Russian media claim that the command carried out this demonstrative launch solely to confirm the operational characteristics and monitor the flight data of the complex.
This aggressive test took place just days after the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, John Ratcliffe, made an urgent visit to Moscow. According to available information, during this trip, the head of the CIA delivered a stern warning to the Kremlin regarding the unacceptability of any attacks on North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries.
In addition, other sources claim that the American official actively urged the Russian leadership to seek a peace agreement with Ukraine. During the negotiations, he provided an extremely grim and realistic assessment of the current state of affairs in the war of aggression unleashed by Russia.
Western Reaction and Threats of Hybrid Attacks
Tensions between Moscow and the West escalated after British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, during his visit to Kyiv, announced that London would provide Ukraine with the blueprints for Scalp long-range missiles. In response to this decision, Russian officials accused Great Britain and other allies of Ukraine of playing a dangerous game with fire.
Former Russian Foreign Minister Andrey Fedorov went further, publicly stating that he could not rule out with 100% certainty the prospect of paramilitary actions against Britain. This candid statement significantly increased the likelihood that Moscow would organize large-scale hybrid attacks on European territory.
Western officials reacted to these outbursts on Friday, emphasizing the need to maintain maximum vigilance regarding hybrid threats. At the same time, they stressed that Russia is not currently seeking direct armed confrontation with NATO, although as early as June, former British leader Sir Keir Starmer warned that the Alliance was considering the possibility of an attack by the Russian Federation as early as 2030.
All this foreign policy blackmail is unfolding against the backdrop of serious internal pressure faced by Putin’s regime within the country. The Russian dictator is forced to react to Ukraine’s devastating strikes on Russian oil refineries, as well as to colossal losses on the battlefield, where the monthly gap between the number of destroyed and mobilized soldiers reaches six thousand people.
Recall that Poland sounded the alarm after the CIA director’s visit to Moscow. Sikorski recalled that Putin had once promised the CIA not to invade Ukraine.
