The Office of the President has deemed a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and the Russian Federation in the aggressor state’s capital as an unacceptable format.

The Office of the President of Ukraine has commented on the possibility of Volodymyr Zelensky meeting with Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin in Moscow.
In a comment to journalists on the national telethon, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President, Serhiy Leshchenko, responded to the statement by Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Yuri Ushakov, who proposed the aggressor state’s capital as a meeting venue for the leaders.
“Moscow is the capital of the aggressor state. Such a negotiation format is impossible,” he stated.
We recall that Russian President’s aide for foreign policy issues, Yuri Ushakov, on Saturday, May 9th, brazenly stated that Putin is allegedly “ready to receive” Zelensky in Moscow.
“Let him come,” he said in a comment to Russian propagandists.
Putin and Zelensky Meeting – What is Known
The Kremlin has repeatedly “scheduled” a meeting between the Ukrainian president and Putin in Moscow. As early as last year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected such an idea and, instead, invited the Russian dictator to Kyiv.
Recently, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also stated that Putin is allegedly ready for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but has his own conditions for it.
“Putin said he is ready to meet in Moscow at any moment. The main thing is that there should be a reason for the meeting, and the main thing is that the meeting should be productive, and it can only be for finalizing agreements,” he cynically said.
Earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga announced the readiness to hold negotiations between Zelensky and dictator Putin on the territory of Turkey. The possible format of the meeting also includes the participation of the leaders of the USA and Turkey – Donald Trump and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
President Zelensky, in turn, assured that he is ready to resume the negotiation process for ending the war and considers any safe country for a meeting, except for the Russian Federation and Belarus.
