Following a large-scale assault on Kyiv, Russia has presented a cynical narrative of “precision strikes.”

After striking residential buildings in Kyiv, the Russian Federation cynically reported a “retaliatory strike” against Ukraine.
This was reported by Russian media, citing the aggressor nation’s Ministry of Defense.
Moscow, after a massive and deadly strike on Kyiv and other regions, cynically described the attack as “high-precision weapons” and a “response.”
Despite civilian casualties in the Ukrainian capital, the Russian military leadership cynically claimed they were only targeting “military facilities” and supposedly only hit them. In their customary fashion, the Russian defense ministry also cynically boasted of “successful and precise strikes.”
The Ministry of Defense brazenly justified the large-scale attack, falsely stating that they had targeted defense industry enterprises, military airfields in several regions, logistics centers, and nuclear power plants allegedly used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recall that on the night of July 2, the **Russian Federation launched a massive drone and missile attack on Kyiv.** Fires and severe damage to civilian infrastructure and residential buildings occurred in all districts of the city. There were direct impacts on apartment blocks, specifically in the Darnytskyi district.
In addition, during that night, the **Kyiv region experienced a powerful combined Russian strike.** Five districts of the region were targeted: Buchanskyi, Brovarskyi, Obukhivskyi, Fastivskyi, and Vyshhorodskyi. At least three people sustained injuries.
