A devastating atmospheric front unexpectedly gained strength and rapidly expanded its area of influence — emergency warnings for squalls and dangerous hail have been issued for ten regions of Ukraine and Kyiv simultaneously.

Ukraine has announced the first (yellow) level of danger due to a sharp deterioration of weather conditions in a significant part of the country. Tomorrow, July 19, residents of ten regions will experience heavy rain, thunderstorms, and dangerous hail with squalls up to 20 meters per second.

Storm expands its borders: bad weather to cover 10 regions
The zone of meteorological instability has significantly increased and now encompasses a whole range of regions. During the day on July 19, moderate, and in some places heavy rains with thunderstorms will hit all western regions, as well as Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.
In addition, the elements will partially affect the central and southern regions. In some places, there will be intense rain in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Odesa regions, where hail is also possible in certain areas.
The most challenging precipitation situation is expected in Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi regions, and the Carpathians. Experts note that such weather conditions pose a serious threat to infrastructure and may complicate the work of energy workers, builders, and transport movement.

Temperature swings: weather forecast for July 19
Despite the thunderstorm front, most of Ukraine will experience quite warm and comfortable weather. Nighttime air temperatures will range from 13-18 degrees, and on the seashores, thermometers will not drop below 21 degrees Celsius.
During the day, the air will warm up to 26-31 degrees, and only in the western regions will it be a bit cooler due to bad weather — from 22 to 27 degrees above zero. The wind will be predominantly southerly, but in the west, it will change its direction to north-westerly.
Heat and local downpours: weather in Kyiv and the region
The capital region will also not escape changes in weather conditions, although the first half of the day will be calm. No precipitation is expected in Kyiv and the region at night, but in the afternoon, short-term rain with thunderstorms will occur in some places.
The temperature regime will remain consistently high. At night in the region, 13-18 degrees are expected, and during the day, thermometers will show a hot 26-31 degrees.
In Kyiv itself, the night temperature will be 15-17 degrees. During the day, the air in the capital will warm up to a significant 29-31 degrees Celsius against the backdrop of a moderate southerly wind.
Recall that just yesterday, forecasters warned that due to adverse weather conditions in some regions, widespread flooding and dangerous mudflows are expected on July 19-20.
