During the speech, the deputy used a fragment that was supposed to sound like an official legislative address. However, instead of his own arguments, he actually read out a text prepared by ChatGPT.

A curious incident occurred in Canada during the speech of one of the deputies. The politician began to read a text from the rostrum, but it later became clear that it was a response generated by artificial intelligence.
The video was published online.
Deputy’s Curiosity
While reading the speech, the deputy did not notice that the conclusion did not require any verbalization at all.
“Here’s a smoother version of this section, sounding like a full legislative address, not a collection of short points” – it was this phrase that the politician unexpectedly voiced aloud, not realizing that it was an instruction for artificial intelligence, and not part of the finished speech.
Despite the amusing moment, the deputy continued his speech with an unperturbed expression, as if nothing unusual had happened.
The incident once again demonstrates the challenges posed by the use of artificial intelligence. It is important to remember: even if AI helps create texts, the final review and editing remain the responsibility of the person.
Recall that Elon Musk stated that artificial intelligence may surpass the collective human intellect in about five years and perform most tasks better than humans. At the same time, he believes that the development of AI could lead humanity to an “era of abundance” if global catastrophes can be avoided. Musk also warned that complete control over superintelligent artificial intelligence in the future may be impossible, so the main task will be to instill the right values in such systems.
