Russian invaders will continue massive shelling of Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv. And there is currently no quick solution to strengthen the air defense system or counter guided aerial bombs (GABs).
This was stated by former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with journalist Serhiy Paychev.
According to the ex-head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the situation with Russian air attacks will remain difficult in the near future.
“I said on my YouTube channel about two months ago that, unfortunately, it will only get worse for Ukrainian cities… You see, two months have passed and, unfortunately, everything is happening exactly like this. I am not scaring anyone. I just want everyone to understand the reality in which we will exist,” Kuleba warned.
The ex-minister frankly admitted that as of today, there is no solution to counter GABs. And it will not appear in the near future.
“Kyiv will be hit mercilessly because it is the capital. My hometown of Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv will be hit because they are simply close. And Ukraine will not have a quick air defense solution, unfortunately,” Kuleba stated.
At the same time, the former diplomat noted that Russia itself is suffering from the consequences of the war, where the security situation is also deteriorating.
“Here, our advantage is that Russia is too large and they actually have too little air defense, just like us. But they have enough air defense to protect the two cities that Putin cares about: Moscow and St. Petersburg,” Kuleba concluded.
Earlier, it was reported that ballistic missiles hit a children’s hospital in Kyiv.
