TV presenter Oleksiy Sukhanov confessed whether he considered leaving Ukraine due to shelling and constant danger.
Life under the sound of air raid sirens, blackouts, and difficult winters sometimes made the TV presenter think about leaving the country. Oleksiy Sukhanov does not hide: moments when Russian missiles flew very close were particularly difficult. It was then that he had thoughts about a safer life elsewhere. However, these переживання, according to the journalist, never turned into a real intention to leave. The reason for this turned out to be much stronger than fear and fatigue.
“You know when. I had such thoughts when under bombs. Recently. When, you know, it flew so close. And in winter, when the city was not being cleared. There is no heating, the light is also turned off, snow. It was really… But no. Of course, these were wild thoughts. They are not long-lasting. When you walk through the city and people say pleasant words to you, like ‘your work helps.’ I don’t know how to leave after that,” the TV presenter shared in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

Sukhanov explained that it is precisely the communication with people and their support that makes him think about staying in Ukraine every time. At the same time, the journalist emphasized that he does not consider himself entitled to condemn his compatriots who decided to seek safety abroad due to the war. In his opinion, everyone has the right to protect their own life first and foremost.
“I have no condemnation for those who left. A person must live. If you want, in my philosophy, they are doing everything to preserve the Ukrainian code. In this way. And they have the right to do so. A person must live,” Oleksiy concluded.
