On July 24th, Russians attacked an OПК facility in Kyiv region, resulting in 10 fatalities. The “Armada” Association provided details about the event and how invitations were distributed.
This information is available on the official page of the “Armada” Association.
The Association asserts that the event was conducted in a closed format. It was a practical demonstration of Ukrainian technologies aimed at protecting critical infrastructure from modern aerial threats. Representatives from the defense industry and potential system users participated in the event.
The organizers state that:
- The event’s location was not publicly disclosed. Invitations were distributed exclusively on an addressed basis, and the exact location was communicated after participant registration and verification.
- Publications about previous events appeared only after their conclusion. The use of these materials as proof of the current event’s openness is misleading.
- This was a practical demonstration, not an exhibition.
During the event, the organizers aimed to test the performance of air target detection and interception systems, unmanned interceptors, counter-drone technologies, EW, RER, and radar systems, along with other solutions. Their testing requires open space and the possibility of practical application.
The Association has declared full cooperation with the investigation and readiness to provide all information to competent authorities to establish the circumstances under which data about the event’s location might have reached the enemy.
Previously, it was reported that law enforcement detained the organizer of the event for the Ukrainian defense industry complex in Kyiv region on July 24th. The location of the event was attacked by Russians.

So far, we have three missiles. Air defense managed to intercept one of them, but unfortunately, two were not intercepted. And these two impacts were recorded precisely in the Kyiv region,” said the colonel.
In a comment to Suspilne, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine referred to the area in Kyiv region hit by Russians as a “civilian object” that does not fall under the operational control of the Defense Forces.
