The most intensive assaults by Russian forces on August 24 were registered in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors, with 22 and 19 attacks respectively. Over the past day, the Defense Forces struck 11 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, five artillery systems, and a UAV control point.

Over the last 24-hour period, 209 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. Russian forces launched two missile strikes involving three missiles and conducted 80 airstrikes, deploying 234 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, Russian troops utilized 9,641 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,203 shelling attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions, with 83 of these utilizing multiple rocket launcher systems.
Artillery shelling targeted Bachivsk, Korenok, Ryzhivka, Tovstodubove, Ulanove, Volfyne, Budky, Shpyl, Rohizne, Kucherivka, Bessalivka, Vyntorivka, Havrylova Sloboda, Starykove, Atinske, Vovkivka, Malushyne, Seredyna-Buda, and Yastrubshchyna in Sumy Oblast, as well as Yanzhulivka, Bohdanove, and Klyusy in Chernihiv Oblast. Russian forces also conducted an airstrike on Tovstodubove.
In the past day, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 11 areas of Russian personnel concentration, five artillery systems, a UAV control point, and one other significant Russian military asset.
Situation by Direction
On the Sloviansk-Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, eight combat engagements were registered. Russian forces carried out 74 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and settlements, with seven of them involving the use of MLRS. Russian troops also launched one airstrike with two guided aerial bombs.
On the Slobozhanshchyna-South direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 attacks towards Kozacha Lopan, Khoptivka, Starytsia, Radkivka, and Zarubynka.
On the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces undertook one offensive action towards Kuriylivka.
On the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks in the vicinity of Lyman, Novoselivka, Dibrova, Drobysheve, and near Olgivka.
On the Sloviansk direction, Russian troops conducted 10 assault operations in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Dibrova, Riznykivka, and towards Rai-Olexandrivka and Mykolaivka.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions.
On the Kostiantynivka direction, 19 attacks were recorded. Russian forces assaulted Ukrainian military positions in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Hruzke, and towards Vilne and Kucerov Yar.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces executed 22 attacks. They attempted to advance towards Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Vilne, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, Muravka, Novopavlivka, and in the areas of Rodynske, Myrne, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novomykolaivka.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces carried out four attacks in the areas of Novozaporizhzhia, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Oleksandrhrod, and Krasnohirskyi.
On the Huliapole direction, nine attacks were registered in the areas of Rizdvyanka, Rivne, Dolynka, Hirke, Danylivka, and Lisne.
On the Orikhiv direction, the Defense Forces halted two attempts by Russian forces to advance near Novoyakovlivka.
On the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian forces did not conduct any assault operations.
On the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of offensive groupings by Russian forces were detected.
Russian Forces’ Losses
According to the General Staff, over the past day, Russia lost 1,230 military personnel. Additionally, the Defense Forces neutralized nine armored combat vehicles, 48 artillery systems, two multiple rocket launcher systems, one air defense system, ten ground robotic systems, 1,555 unmanned aerial vehicles, 448 vehicles, and seven units of special Russian equipment.
