Ukraine has informed Beijing about Chinese components in Russian weaponry. The PRC stated they had investigated the information but found no violations.
This was stated at a briefing by Vladyslav Vlasiuk, the President of Ukraine’s plenipotentiary for sanctions policy, as reported by a correspondent from Suspilne.
“The Chinese situation is like this. Did we inform them about all of this? Yes, we did. Does this mean they are taking specific measures? Not necessarily. But that doesn’t mean we will stop. We consider this a problem and continue to inform them about it, to request action, meaning we are doing everything within our power,” he said.
When asked if there was any feedback from Beijing, the plenipotentiary noted that he had recently met with Chinese representatives, who stated that they had investigated the information but found no violations.
“From their perspective, they take the information we provide very seriously, they check and research it. However, after that, they say they haven’t seen any violations, but we have thoroughly investigated this ourselves. So, it’s a complex diplomacy with them. But I still have to deal with this, because not dealing with it would be wrong. We believe that sooner or later, at least some specific results will be achieved,” Vlasiuk stated.
