Between August 4 and 9, 2026, Rating Group conducted a nationwide survey on Ukrainians’ attitudes towards world leaders and countries. Respondents evaluated the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, the Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, most positively.

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, received the highest positive sentiment from respondents – 79%. The Chancellor of Germany received 64% positive evaluations, and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, received 61% positive evaluations.
The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, received 45% positive feedback from respondents, but 35% noted their negative attitude towards him. Meanwhile, the current President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, received 20% positive evaluations, and 62% of respondents had a negative attitude towards him. The previous President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, had 72% positive evaluations from Ukrainians, according to a Rating Group survey from February 2025.
The newly appointed Prime Minister of Great Britain received 45% positive evaluations, but 35% of Ukrainians stated they did not know him. The Prime Minister of Hungary, Péter Magyar, elected in April 2026, received 33% positive evaluations; 34% of respondents expressed a negative attitude towards him, and 20% stated they did not know him.
The survey revealed that Ukrainians have the worst attitude towards the unrecognized President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko – 90% negative evaluations – and towards the head of Russia, Vladimir Putin – 97% negative.
The survey involved 2,000 Ukrainians over 18 years of age within Ukraine, excluding temporarily occupied territories.
