The Central Election Commission (CEC) has officially registered Victoria Reznikova and Bohdan Morklianyk as People’s Deputies of Ukraine representing the “Servant of the People” party. They will be succeeding Denys Maslov and Vitaliy Bezgin in the Verkhovna Rada, who have been appointed to the new government cabinet.
This announcement was made by the press service of the CEC.
During a session held on July 30th, the Commission reviewed the applications and pertinent documents submitted by Reznikova and Morklianyk. In accordance with electoral legislation, they were subsequently registered as Members of Parliament.
Both individuals were elected during the snap parliamentary elections on July 21, 2019, within the nationwide multi-mandate constituency, representing the “Servant of the People” political party. Morklianyk and Reznikova were listed on the party’s electoral roster at positions #163 and #165, respectively.
The CEC further clarified that their parliamentary mandates will officially commence upon the delivery of their oaths in the Verkhovna Rada.
On July 15th, the parliament prematurely terminated the mandates of Maslov and Bezgin, both representatives of the “Servant of the People” faction. Both deputies relinquished their positions due to their appointments to key roles within the revamped government. Maslov has taken the helm of the Ministry of Justice, while Bezgin has been appointed as the Minister for Communities, Territories, and Internally Displaced Persons.
Key Information on Victoria Reznikova and Bohdan Morklianyk
According to the “Chesno” movement’s records, Victoria Reznikova hails from the city of Khmelnytskyi. She holds a law degree from the Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytsky University of Management and Law, specializing in jurisprudence. Reznikova possesses a Doctor of Law degree.
She has held legal positions in various companies and served as an educator at the Khmelnytsky Institute of Social Technologies of the Open International University of Human Development “Ukraine.” Additionally, she has been an associate professor and professor in the Department of Economic Law at the Faculty of Law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Since 2018, Reznikova has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Supreme Court, and since 2021, she has also been active in the Scientific Advisory Council under the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.
In 2025, she was elected as a corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine.
As reported by the “Chesno” movement, Bohdan Morklianyk originates from the town of Mizhhiria in the Zakarpattia region. He graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering. Morklianyk holds a Doctor of Technical Sciences degree.
From 2008 to 2014, he served as the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Social Affairs at Lviv Polytechnic. Since 2016, he has been a professor in the Department of Strength of Materials and Structural Mechanics at the same institution.
Between 2016 and 2018, Morklianyk acted as an advisor to the then First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Stepan Kubiv, who passed away in May of this year.
In 2018, he was elected as the Deputy Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA).
In March 2022, Morklianyk was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
